At present, 10 upgrade lines for soldiers are available for players to choose from based on their preferred gameplay and fighting style in War Empire.
Based on ancient melee warfare, four factions are currently available for selection: Wei, Shu, Wu and Rome. Each faction consists of three main types of soldiers, with Rome having access to one at present. Since there are three upgrade lines for Wei, Shu and Wu separately, 10 troop paths are online for players to choose from right now.
Contrary to the traditional and boring upgrade system for many online games, players can level up their characters and gain EXP, while also earning prestige and copper coins to upgrade their soldiers and unlock new tiers simultaneously in this war empire.
In order to keep the game balanced, the soldiers are classified as basic, intermediate and advanced. Soldiers of the same level will be matched automatically in battle. Therefore, as each soldier will have his own value, managing and upgrading them is an important part of gameplay.
